Hey everyone, I’ve got a question about declaring bank accounts on the tax return. I have a few foreign accounts, but they’re basically empty—nothing in them. Do I still need to declare these accounts even though there’s no money in them?

Exactly. I had the same situation last year. I had an account with less than CHF 10 in it, and my tax advisor said it had to be reported anyway. It’s more about full transparency, and failing to declare could cause problems later on, even if it seems minor now.
