I had high medical expensses this year that werent covered by insurance. Can I claim these as deductions, and is there a minimum amount before they qualify?

    Hey Emma,
    you can claim unreimbursed medical expenses as deductions on your tax return, but only if they exceed 5% of your net taxable income (after deductions like social security contributions). Only the portion exceeding this threshold can be deducted.
