Hello!
Well I would say it always depends. In this case we can estimate in dependence of how often do you drive?
For example you purchase a car of CHF 25’000 worth.
If you purchase it with company, you can claim this costs depreciating them. Besides that you can put maintenance costs on the company expenses. However in return you must have 9,6% set off as private share. Positive aspect is that you claim back taxes.
On the other hand if your purchase it in private and settle the mileage with the company, in result let’s suppose that you can charge on average 60 cents per kilometer. In this case if you charge 5’000 kilometers per year, you can only claim CHF 3’000 for tax purposes. There is also a bit of uncertainty with the number of kilometers you drive to be accepted for tax purposes.
So in this case solution through the company looks more favorable to me.
Hope my explanation can help. Good luck with the purchase.
