Taxes after divorse process

Hi community

I am divorsed from a middle of a last year. Since then I am living separately an paying an allimony to my wife and children. I have a permit C, my exwife - B.
I was a bit confused when I received a huge bill from my tax office for 2020. Also in a tax form is my exwife`s name stated.
Is it a mistake of municipality or do I have to fill the tax form for both of us? I assumed we would be taxed separately in 2020 as we are separated now. How should I talk with my tax office?

Hi Munierro
I recommend you to contact with your local tax office and describe your situation with a divorcing process. According to a federal tax law each of you have to complete a separate tax declaration. Provisional tax invoices issued before separation, divorce or dissolution of the partnership for the previously jointly taxed persons for the tax period concerned should be cancelled and replaced by separate provisional tax invoices.
