Specifically in Zurich, what value do I have to declare for my private vehicle? I bought a car last year for 25,000 CHF. Which aspects matter in the evaluation of a car in Switzerland?

Hiiii,

You can check online car valuation tools specific to Switzerland, but the easiest way to estimate the price is to enter some details in your tax return and it will be valued automatically)) If you bought the car last year for CHF 25,000, assuming a depreciation rate of 20-30% in the first year, the car's value could have dropped to around CHF 17,500 - 20,000.

DrWatson You will need to fill in some details about your vehicle such as year, model, purchase year, purchase price and it will be automatically valued. so piece of cake)

    Hi everyone,

In 2023, I owned a car on a short term lease from May 2023 to October 2023 where I
paid monthly interest - but there is no tax year report of this. Should I include this information in the tax return?

    Thanks in advance.

For leased cars, you do not need to provide any information for your tax return. at least in Zurich
